"I love designing environments where families can enjoy life's moments, embracing comfort without the worry of perfection."

Hi, I’m Angela Raciti, founder and principal designer of Powder Point Interior Design.

Home has always been my favorite place to be. As a kid growing up in a small coastal town in Massachusetts, I spent hours rearranging the furniture in our house — even at my friends’ homes — chasing that perfect feeling of comfort and flow. In school, I built cardboard dream houses and sketched floor plans for fun. I didn’t know it then, but I was already designing a life around creating spaces that feel like home.

Years later, after studying Interior Architecture in Boston living out West in the Rockies, my design perspective widened — blending the serenity of the coast with the strength of the mountains. I learned to love contrast: rough beams against soft linen, the ease of light-filled rooms grounded by texture and patina, and the kind of details that make a home both beautiful and lived-in.

For me, home is a sanctuary — a place where families can exhale, cook together, play together, and make memories that last for generations. I’m especially drawn to designing legacy homes — the kind where kids grow up coming back year after year, where holidays, milestones, and everyday moments all unfold under one roof.

My style is timeless, family-friendly, and rooted in natural materials that age gracefully. I love pieces with soul and spaces that invite both muddy boots and candlelit dinners. I believe good design isn’t about perfection — it’s about comfort, connection, and creating a home that tells your story.

Now based in the Blue Ridge Mountains, my husband, our kids, and I are building our own family home — raising our children to love nature, cook from scratch, and slow down enough to enjoy life’s little rituals. On weekends, you’ll find us exploring a new trail, baking bread, or cozying up by the fire during a winter storm.

Every project I take on reflects that same spirit: thoughtful, timeless, and grounded in the way families truly live.
